NERDLE is a popular online game that challenges you to solve a mathematical equation daily. Unlike Wordle, where you must guess a word, NERDLE requires using numbers and symbols to form a correct equation. You have six attempts to find the answer and get feedback on each guess. If you are stuck or need help, we have hints and clues to win today’s NERDLE.
How to play NERDLE?
To play NERDLE, visit the official website and enter your guess in the grid. You can use any combination of the numbers and symbols at the grid’s bottom. The equation can have one or more operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. The answer can be a single-digit or a double-digit number.
After you submit your guess, you will see one of three colors on the grid:
- Green: This means that the number or symbol is in the right place in the equation.
- Purple: This means that the number or symbol is in the equation but not in the right place.
- Black means that the number or symbol is not in the equation.
You can use this feedback to refine your next guess. You can also see the previous guesses and input on the right side of the screen. You have to find the correct equation before you run out of attempts.
Hints and clues for today’s NERDLE answer (28th February 2024)
If you are having trouble finding today’s NERDLE answer, here are some hints and clues to help you out:
Hint 1: The equation has four numbers and three symbols
- This eliminates many possible equations that have more or less numbers or symbols, such as 2 + 2 = 4 or 12 / 3 * 2 – 1 = 7
- You can try equations that have four numbers and three symbols and have different values and operations, such as 6 / 2 * 3 = 9 or 9 * 3 / 9 = 3
- If you get a green square, the number or symbol is in the equation and the correct position.
- If you get a purple square, the number or symbol is in the equation but not in the correct position.
- The number or symbol is not in the equation if you get a black square.
Hint 2: The equation has two eights
- This narrows down the number of equations that have other numbers, such as 6 / 2 * 3 = 9 or 9 * 3 / 9 = 3
- You can try equations that have two eights and have different values and operations, such as 8 * 8 / 8 = 8 or 8 + 8 – 8 = 8
- If you get a green or purple square, it means that the eight is in the equation, as explained in Hint 1
- The eight is not in the equation if you get a black square.

Hint 3: The equation has a division symbol
- This eliminates many equations that have other symbols, such as 8 * 8 / 8 = 8 or 8 + 8 – 8 = 8
- You can try equations that have a division symbol and have different values and operations, such as 8 / 4 * 2 = 4 or 8 / 2 * 4 = 16
- If you get a green or purple square, it means that the division symbol is in the equation, as explained in Hint 1
- The division symbol is not in the equation if you get a black square.
Hint 4: The equation has a multiplication symbol
- This eliminates many equations that have other symbols, such as 8 / 4 + 4 = 6 or 8 / 4 – 4 = 0
- You can try equations that have a multiplication symbol and have different values and operations, such as 8 / 4 * 8 = 16 or 8 / 2 * 4 = 16
- If you get a green or purple square, it means that the multiplication symbol is in the equation, as explained in Hint 1
- The multiplication symbol is not in the equation if you get a black square.
Hint 5: The equation has an equality symbol
- This gives away the structure of the equation, which can help you guess it if you know some basic math rules.
- You can try equations that have an equality symbol and have the same numbers and symbols as the previous hints, such as 8 / 4 * 8 = 16 or 8 / 2 * 4 = 16
- If you get a green or purple square, it means that the equality symbol is in the equation, as explained in Hint 1
- The equality symbol is not in the equation if you get a black square.
